Older Post: A new list

I wrote this post last summer when I thought my thoughts were particularly poignant. I don't think they are now, but after letting the post age for a bit, I feel I can put this up now. (c:
-----------------------------

I just realized that there are things that I think are really cool which I'll never get.

As a general rule, I'm very content with what I have and not really wanting anything new/else. But I get urges to buy something and after much research, hunting, evaluating, etc.. I'll usually make the purchase.
Well, there are things I think are great, but I'd never use them, and that's a totally different category which hasn't crossed my mind (so far as I recall). Things like a longboard-skateboard. I've been wanting one for quite a while, researched already, thought about it.. but really.. I wouldn't use it. And just because I wouldn't use it doesn't make me think it isn't great.
There are things I've bought which I realize only much later that.. I haven't really used them. And that's really too bad. Some things in this category: a few computer games, a bike, quite a few books .. . and that's all I can think of at this point. (c:

Some things besides the longboard, which fall into the original category are: a slick txt/talk *only* cell-phone, wheelies, timascus ring, round-the-world ticket, etc...

There are a couple more categories of things: those which I wish I hadn't bought because I use them, and those which I anticipate buying sometime in the future.

Hi, Luke, This is Aunt Paula Johnson. I came to your website to view a photo of Poppa and Paul, but got sidetracked reading your posts! Good choice on NOT BUYING a longboard-skateboard. Even if you would not use it, others would want to--perhaps to their detriment! Wade got one and takes it with him when he visits others. Two hard working young men were temporatily (too long) put out of commission due to riding Wade's board and sustaining, one a shoulder separation; the other, a broken collar bone. sigh. God bless you!
