Themed Music

Music is powerful.

I have an idea that we should "soundtrack" our lives. Though this might sound strange at first, let me explain so that you'll understand, then judge the idea whether really strange or just super smart (yeah!). I don't mean that you play whatever music you 'feel' like at the moment e.g. depressed = depressing music played. No. I mean you listen to the music you want to characterize your life by. Eccentric music = eccentric life. Pop music = pop life. Aaand.. to continue the thought to my particular favorite: worship music = worship life.

Now, this isn't really very practical because only fairly shallow people will limit themselves to a small 'favorite' selection of music (no offense intended!), so my experience for myself is a pretty vast variety of music. I love the international, pop, classical, and most of all worship . Depressing music is ok, but is definitely a small selection in my collection. Listen to the music you want to have your life characterized by. Oh, and happy, bubbly music has huge benefits. It's just the cranks who can't tolerate it. (c:

Hateful, rebellious music makes for... yeah. Go figure why our culture is a bit messed up. Music is powerful.

This is a cool post, Luke. It's interesting, and I agree with you. (I can't listen to depressing music for very long. In fact, I have a button on my bookbag that says "cheer up Emo kid." :) )
