moments

I had another moment with my grandpa that was really funny, I'll try and write out the dialogue. Setting was at the kitchen table eating dinner.

Gpa: You know, the strangest thing happened on my computer.
There I was, typing away when suddenly the window I was in totally vanished!
Then I went to my e-mail program and and it disappeared as well!
Me: Uh-huh.
Gpa: What do you think is wrong with it?
Me: Um... I don't know.
I'll go look at it after we've finished eating.

Maybe it isn't as funny if you weren't there, but the total vague description of the problem and the expectation for me to 1) know what is wrong with it and 2) explain to him what is wrong based off of his description, is just too funny. (c:

I will say that THAT problem isn't there anymore, and different small ones crop up every day. I think I can safely say that you shouldn't straddle two systems on one computer, or if you must, do it as little as possible. The whole OSX with carbon 9 is kinda funky and... it's better just to go all or nothing (all OSX being the better option). Maybe it'd be better for a tech person who really knows his stuff and is flexible to change for what works best and isn't the most familiar.

i had something else I was going to write but I can't remember what. hmm.. John Piper is an amazing tool of God. (c: I'm listening to his sermons while I make myself a beanie from hemp/twine. I'll post a pic when I get one of it completed... I think it might be too small for my head though.. alas.
