just a sudden ingenious thought... use google earth coupled with the degree confluence project!! Should be pretty amazing. (c: A good little example is the degrees :37°N 122°W which should be input as 7N 122W in google earth.

Unfortunately Google Earth is not expandable like Google Maps, but I bet you could totally do the confluences in Google Maps!
