little hands

We all meet strange people.
Heh, uhm... I feel like that is an ironic way of starting this post because I know some friends who read here will think instantly, "Yeah, you're one of them."

Ah well. But that aside, last Saturday I met someone with a truly fascinating profession. She was a children's hands model. She had such small hands that they looked like children's hands, and she'd be used in commercials for toys and stuff. Amazing! She kept her hands gloved always to keep them in good condition and they are her first thought for protecting in dangerous situations (bicycle accident). I was totally intrigued, as I never knew that there was such a thing as a hand model.

Where did you meet her? How old is she? Facinating!

Met her at my cousin Gretchen's pool/birthday party. She was probably about 27-31 yrs old. (not polite to ask y'know?)

Heh, Gretchen has a fun picture of Grandma and I from the pool party on her blog.

As I've taken up recreational juggling, I too have become much more conscious and grateful of these 'intelligent' hands that God has given me. I've always loved my hands, since I was little little. I remember setting aside time, even when I was 8 yrs old or younger, to look at my hands for a while trying to imagine what they'd look like in the future and how they looked in the past. I still do this.

Interesting indeed.

On an unrelated note... You should save copies of images you have procured from elsewhere on the internets, and upload them just like you would your own photos. It is poor netiquette to display images on your site that are hosted by someone else without their permission. You essentially "permenantly borrow" their bandwidth.

Your comment has been duly noted and appropriate adjustments have been made. Thanks for educating me in proper netiquette!

I was waiting for this post! It really was funny to hear about her profession wasn't it?
By the way, Luke, Les Miserables was AMAZING. I didn't respond to your text because I couldn't quite explain it. I'll probably blog about it next.
