Saturday morning I had a chance to go surfing with the Floyd boys, Will Kryz and his wife Sarah, which was a LOT of fun. (c: Sarah bought Will a new surfboard and surprised him a the beach with it. It's a beautiful board: 9' 6"! Once he gets comfortable with it, he'll be able to walk to the end and ride the nose, "hanging ten" which is a very enjoyable classic surfer experience. The waves were great and the water isn't unbearably cold yet. Wave height was about.. 4" and not too messy... good power. (c:
Sunday afternoon cousins Philagail and brother Peter and myself went wall-climbing, which is always fun. We're all definitely improving and taking on new challenges. Much teasing and distracting was had while one person or another was attempting a particularly difficult move. It's hard to climb while laughing. I could climb for hours and hours.
Class is going well. The material is heady, and I haven't had any significant problems with any doctrines that we've talked about. Most (all?) fit into what I was taught growing up and through different exposures. There's been some great highlights though, such as Christology. At one point in class I think if the teacher had kept talking for a few more seconds we would have been in tears (at least I would have been). Not that he was expressing things with much emotion, but understanding who the Son is and the humility of incarnation and death... is a humbling thing. Selah. Praise God.
I'm set up for a very nice week. I hope you all have the same outlook onto this week. Thanksgiving day, and a weekend up north with Philisha. (c: So excited!
Sorry I haven't gotten any photo's up lately. Here's one of my Gpa while he was sitting in the chair next to me, doing a crossword (he really enjoys the daily crosswords). Did you know they get progressively difficult as the week progresses, Friday or Saturday's being the hardest?

Notice, he does his crosswords in pen. (c: Oh, the confidence!
Love this picture of Grandpa. Classic.
I also agree with you about the weather being great. The thing that would make it even greater is rain! I love rain and we just don't get enough here in SoCal.
See you on Thanksgiving!
hey luke, I have joined the blogger community as well. It's all in German, though ;-(
I'm jealous that you got to go surfing with the Floyds. Sounds like loads of fun. What class are you taking, by the way? Just curious.
