the stillness

School is finished for the semester at Biola, and Christmas is very fast approaching. I just stepped outside and the rainwater is pattering down the drainpipes and the cold air smells like some people nearby still have a love for real wood fires in their fireplaces.

I love it.

My previous class about Christian Doctrine finished, and it was very good. It didn't contain the controversy that I thought it might with my many different inputs who I mentioned a few posts back. The prof. was a guy who my grandpa sold insurance to way back when and still remains in loose (but amicable) contact with.
The current class that started last Thursday is called "Human Resources Management". I was pretty excited about this class because it is an area that I'd thought quite a bit about entering. Buuuuut, I'm not so sure anymore. I think it will be a fascinating class, but realizing all of the political correctness and "games" that must be played by HR sounds.. icky.

I haven't really gotten involved in politics. There are quite a few reasons for this, but one of the foremost is that I really don't like either party very much. I'd decided it was something that I didn't want to have as part of who I am or what I do. But that has changed because a candidate has come along that has galvanized my imagination and convictions. I hope he wins, he'll be the first candidate I've ever sent funding towards. I think he has the answers for America's issues and a clear path to being a more respected (and less resented) nation in the world. It's up to you to figure out who I'm talking about.

I'm surprised at how earnestly I feel about the above candidate. I'll probably write more about it before too long (after or during Christmas travelling).

On Thursday I fly up north to Washington! (c: I'm so excited about that! I'll be staying with sister Ariana and her husband Jeff, and then with sister Joy and her husband Christopher, and finally with brother David and his wife Heather. While up there I may see Philisha and baby Noah as well.. plus: Jacob J. and the Myers family. Hmm.. anyone else I'm missing in the area?

Two weekends ago I went up north to Mammoth with Oli M., and Daniel and Joe P. We met up with kuya Tim and Lem at Daniel's wife's father's cabin near Mammoth Lakes. It was a grand time and there were LOTS of pictures taken. Three professional photographers present with sweet DSLRs... If you want to see pictures of the trip they can be found on here and here. We visited Mona Lake on the day we left and it couldn't have been more beautiful weather! (pictures of that are in the second link)

Aaaand... that's about it from my corner. Sorry this hasn't been so regular. I started writing a post earlier and as I was writing, I got a message from Gpa saying that my blog had gone stale. (c: I guess we have a similar internal clock, eh?

Btw, I'm still excited about Parkour.

Btwbtw, I still love God, gotta fight for it though.

Btwbtwbtw... oh, nothing.. just wanted to do all the btw's. (c:

(c: No, actually I didn't get in on the Tea Party.. didn't know about it. But will be part of the next "event" hopefully. You're a good guesser momma, though maybe it wasn't so hard.

you support ron paul b/c thats what it says in your facebook account. I dont know much about american politics so what can I say? Even with a lot of goodwill its pretty difficult to say the current admin is doing a good job, considering the widespread negative reports in the media. Ron paul seems like a real alternative. What do you think of huckabee???
