I love a lot of really simple things. Simple mysteries really... some of which I've already mentioned on this blog in greater detail but I'll mention again, since this is kind-of a list.
I just now am making myself a cup of tea. I don't have any mugs handy though, so I'm just using my regular tall glass glass. (i say the word twice because it is a glass which is glass). Moving on... because it is tall and glass I can watch the eddies of tea falling away from the tea bag into the rest of the hot water. I love that. The eddies, the slow movement, the three dimensions that one can see. It's beautiful. I also like it because it reminds me of two other things that I love.
Wind. It's a total wonder to me. The movement of air. HUUUGE bodies of air moving from one location to another. I cannot concieve of what it would look like if air were somehow visible. But I think my eddying tea gives a vague idea of what it would look like. What a mystery. It's beautiful.
Radiated heat. I love radiated heat. Whether inside where there's a heater, or an oven, or a body, it's amazing. Outside is the sun pouring out its heat. A cool day with a hot sun is really a joy to me. Sitting and feeling the radiated warmth. Or soaking it up through my palms on a cement step. Yep. Even here with my tall glass of tea, I felt the soft warmth on my face of the heat radiated from the glass. It's beautiful.
Smells. I like good smells. I inhale through my nose everytime someone walks past me on the street to see what fragrance the following wind is carrying. My roommate wakes up before me and takes a shower, returning to the room smelling very fresh. It's a great way to wake up. I tried to find a scent-alarm clock which could be loaded with a cologne or perfume but couldn't find one anywhere.
Kimchi.
Salted licorice. (Salmiakki)
Sprinting.
Mountains.
That's about it for this list. I've a lot of patience. Maybe too much. I don't mind waiting, or having life move slowly. In fact, I wish it would slow down to a more easygoing pace. I think whoever I marry will have to have a lot of patience as well. Patience with me, and with life.

Nice blog entry. I am a smell person too and I do the same thing when people walk by. It's fun to learn more about my cousin. =0)
Thanks Gretchen! That makes me feel a little better about my post. I wasn't sure how strange of a thing it was to say, "I smell people's following wind because I like colognes and perfumes and am curious what smell they're carrying." (c:
I thought of a modifier for this post though, i should change it to "things I enjoy" rather than "love" because to me.. Love is something worth fighting for, and I certainly am not feeling passionate enough about any of these things to put up a fight for it. So... things I enjoy. I should post about love sometime in the nearer future.
Very nice post about what you enjoy. I think it's nice to live in the "now" and see what's around you. I also love how tea looks when it's spreading out in the water... also milk in coffee or tea. It looks so pretty I kind of hate to stir it!
Hey Luke, I liked your post! I also LOVE wind - it is so so so mysterious, and exciting, and wild. Here in Texas I get to experience more of it and I'm glad about that! :)
I like reading your thoughts. It was nice having you for breakfast.
Er, we had waffles for breakfast, not Luke
