Well, after the last post, I thought it'd be good to balance it with all the things I like about where I am right now. (plus a few other good things).

What I like about California, in particular the southern region where I currently reside:

I've already mentioned the Santa Ana winds. They are warm winds that blow from the desert region towards the ocean, and they bring clear blue skies that glow longer after sunset because of all the fine dust particles in the air. It's a very beautiful thing.

I like the ocean. This area of California has a wonderful coastline with lots of sand between the road and the water. It can be irritating to go across the sand when it is too hot, but the sand really is nice and great for large gatherings. [think guitar playing, marshmallow burning, singing, running around]

Family. I've family nearby and they're my friends as well. My sister, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins. It is a joy to be with them and have them nearby.

Friends. Yeah, they're cool too, and I love that they're nearby. That's one of the greatest things of this where.

Summer. Summer in California is hot hot and usually quite dry. I do like it when I have time to be out in the hot sun. It's not often. It makes me feel healthier, and the world seems bigger.
