to my aunt

You took it
and now you're losing something

You're glowing in the dark
its a little warmer when you're near

clocks tick faster in your presence
you are dangerous

something eyes can't see
is streaming out of you

invisibly gleaming
everyone keep your distance

for a few days at least
until it's over

and you've lost something
that wasn't working right anyway

Hope you feel better soon Aunt Gretchen!!

A fine ode to my (temporarily) radioactive sister!

So nice Uncle K finally has a use for his geiger counter...

We had a co-worker have to do this about five years ago, same radiation protocol. She's doing fine now.

While Kirk has his Geiger counter up and operational, maybe he could check out our Radium Vitalizer that Grandpa mentioned was in their garage. We found it in the attic when we bought Aunt Booboo's Comstock house. We've always been inclined to keep our distance from it, but have wondered how much radioactivity it really has. Maybe it's an Antique Roadshow item, but then again, maybe not... Especially if you have to keep it far from habitation.

Love it, Luke! I'm glad my sister is on the road to recovery and I'm glad she was able to come to Thanksgiving, even though she glowed just a little bit...
