Yellow

Alright, I know I'm a day late getting my 'yellow lights' project done, but.. who really minds? Not me! A friend of mine asked "Why yellow lights?" Well, there are a few reasons. Everyone who uses traffic signals for things uses either red or green. Very uncommon to see a yellow signal light in an illustration or art presentation. So the uncommonality of it. (c: Another reason... is the transience of a yellow light. It's hard to capture a picture of a yellow light because it only stays on for 5 seconds at a time. The last reason is the emotions elicited by a yellow light. It's more complex than a red or green light. Red = Stop. Green = Go. Yellow = stop or go, speed up or slow down, you might not make it. There's a significant tension involved. Yellow is a choice and a warning.

Interesting to think of yellow lights that way - it's more complex than I originally thought! :) That's a good picture.
