genius

I'm quite happy with the new developments at Google with regards to Gmail. (c: I even sent them an e-mail of my approval. Alright, what is so good? To begin with, Gmail (a web-mail thing, similarities: hotmail, yahoomail, aol, mail.com, etc..) gives you more than 2 Gigabytes of storage space. I say 'more than' because they are constantly increasing the size. Just go here and you'll understand what I mean. So that is the first +.

Next + is the syncability it has with mailing programs (thunderbird, outlook, eudora, etc...). It is free and easy to have a desktop program that sends and receives through Gmail. Also you will have an online record of e-mails that have come in (and that you've sent out), so if you're in a different country than usual, no problem. Get back home, connect, sync'd.

The format that Gmail uses to organize the e-mails you do receive and send out is very unique and easy to use. Emails form conversation 'stacks' which are an efficient way of keeping track of who-said-what-when, etc. They include searchability, so you can easily find any e-mail you've sent or received. Very sharp.

Now, the newest thing which they added is a chat program within Gmail. Google released it's own multi-platform (meaning it can chat with aim, yahoo messenger, msn messenger, jabber, etc..) messenger called Google Talk, but now you have Google Talk while you check your e-mail. You don't have to be at home to send a few messages, you could be anywhere with an internet connection! ('course the qualifier here is that the people you chat with need to have a Google Talk or Gmail subscription). Ahh.. that is where you come in. Anyone interested in a Gmail account? I have quite a few offers available and would be more than willing to help get you set up. Qualifier, I must actually know who you are. dc: I only give email accounts to real people.

I'll link up the above to various pages with illustrations of what I'm describing for your viewer pleasure. (c:

Okay luke, I'll bite, send me an invite and all get a Gmail account. Maybe I will just use the chat part, or maybe I'll be won over!
