I made an impulse buy for a status symbol. 'nuf said.
Though reasons escape me, I actually feel something like guilt at getting something so 'hip'. Hm.
On another thought, I'd like to start getting excited about sport. Football (soccer) being the one of highest acclaim in my mind. So I'll start a slow process of learning a lot about it, learning the history of the current teams, and then will choose a team that I particularly would like to win based on it's jersey colors. heh.

Um.. I think there are hacks that allow your 'pod to play ogg, and probably FLAC as well. I don't KNOW this, but... if there isn't, THEN THERE OUGHT TO BE!
actually, i didn't get the classic 'pod. i got the newly reduced nano (only 1 gig). It is supplanting the 1gig shuffle in the 'pod placement, and costs what the shuff did. shuff is now only 99denarii's.
as far as music playability, cheap cost, and storage size, YES Peter, you are right. I should have gotten a Rio Karma. Those are SO nice, so spacious, and I really like Rio's design for their players. Alas, I did little to no research before purchasing, so... i got an inano [1gig].
I believe it can display photos though, and that is something which the Karma cannot. I hope that is enough counter-balance to keep me happy. (c: Thanks for the heads-up though, and hopefully others reading my blog who are considering which player to get will know to get the Karma. Is a great product. Too bad Rio seems to be stopping it's line of MP3 players.
